My experience combines diverse communications and marketing projects with over nearly two decades' focus on development in the nonprofit and federal contracting arenas. My communications background spans marketing communications, academia, foundation grant and federal contract proposals, and advertising at a Fortune 50 retailer. I’ve worked on national B2C advertising campaigns, targeted B2G and B2B marketing, and branding and development projects for nonprofit helping organizations.
I've managed teams of creative professionals to deliver marketing projects on time and budget. For nonprofits, I've helped to build relationships with donors through the development of branding and key-messaging strategies, and writing and editing electronic and print publications based on these.
Across multiple companies, I've managed and evolved proposal and contracts shops, hiring professionals at all levels and providing them with the tools and processes required to grow the enterprise. This has included the identification, implementation, and configuration of technology— content creation and design software such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; collaboration tools such as SharePoint and IBM Connections Cloud, web content management systems including NetCommunity, Drupal, and WordPress; customer relationship management and donor-tracking solutions such as Salesforce and the Raiser's Edge; and Unix, Mac, and Windows desktops, laptops, and servers.
