The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has developed new templates and guidance to better track agencies’ information technology (IT) spending, according to Federal Chief Enterprise Architect Scott Bernard. The guidance breaks spending down into seven common categories, including IT management, IT security, compliance, data centers, etc. A standardized approach like this will “help agencies get a better handle on their IT spend,” said Bernard, at a recent event.
