The National Law Review breaks down the President Donald Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” executive order. The article notes that the order doesn’t necessarily create new initiatives, but rather requires agencies to follow the law that’s already on the books. Part of that is assessing waivers from the Buy American provisions of the past to determine if they are still necessary. The author does write, however, “Nevertheless, the Executive Order signals that further regulations and significant changes may be forthcoming.”
