The Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection has called for a competitive challenge to increase collaboration between Irish public sector bodies and SMEs in order to come up with unique and innovative solutions to public sector needs. Expressions of interest from Irish public bodies will open in October and Enterprise Ireland will co-fund up to €500,000 to cover up to 10 new challenges. The Minister describes the Small Business Innovation Research challenge as a fantastic opportunity for improved efficiency and effectiveness in how public services could be delivered in the future.
