The Moldovan Public Procurement Development Strategy 2016-2020 is now in a testing phase and is due to become fully operational in 2018.  eProcurement will then become mandatory for public bodies. A tool called MTender has been developed to ensure transparency at all stages of the procurement process. The Finance Minister, Octavian Armasu, says “We want to integrate as many contracting authorities and suppliers of goods and services as possible into the electronic system MTender, which will give the market more dynamism and will increase fair competition.” The full story is on Emerging Europe.
