The UK central government buying organisation Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has made progress into creating Crown Marketplace, destined to change how the public sector buys its common goods and services as the next generation of Digital Marketplace in an effort to bring more spend under management. The government will go out to tender this summer for the creation of an eSourcing Platform, and a contract notice is expected around July 13 in three lots. Also expect to hear about a webinar from CCS, for all interested parties, on the draft specifications of user requirements and the technical specification. See more on Government Computing and keep an eye on the CCS website.
