Examples of the use of technology in the fight against corruption is presented in a new report launched at the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC). The report has been initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. It includes an interesting juxtaposition between how men and women are affected differently when technology is used to fight corruption, particularly in developing countries where generally women have less access to technology than men; in some cases their type of work is difficult to digitalise. It gives a range of examples of how digitalisation can be used in the fight against corruption and explains how digitalisation of public procurement and public services can reduce opportunities for corruption in the digitised parts of the process.
