For a few years now we have been helping to promote the EcoProcura conference series, which started in 1998 as a forum to exchange dialogue on the latest strategies and practical solutions for sustainable, circular and innovative public procurement. It now brings together more than 400 procurers, policy makers, businesses, researchers and international organisations to take part in the discussions.

Part of EcoProcura are the Procura+ Awards, which take place at the end of the conference each year. They recognise sustainable and innovative public procurements and tender procedures which lead to real improvements in public goods, services, processes or infrastructure. We are delighted to announce that the call for applications is now open from public authorities that have procured sustainably and innovatively within the past two years — an opportunity to showcase your public authority’s successful procurement process.

Why enter? Entrants see this as a good way to benchmark themselves and to gain visibility; winners prove their commitment to sustainability and innovation, and earn internal and external recognition for their successful actions, whether that involves strategies, tools or projects.

Aside these benefits, the winning public authorities will receive a trophy and the right to promote themselves with the award title. The awarded procurement activities will be widely promoted using a wide variety of the organisers’ (who are ICLEI in co-operation with the EU-funded Procure2Innovate project) publications and channels. Then a case study will be produced and disseminated within the SP Platform and the PPI Platform. Winners will be granted a free entry and a presentation slot at the next conference organised by ICLEI.

Entries close on March 31 2019 – and full details are here.
