Last week Virtualstock and Pagero announced a partnership to support a digitally connected NHS – this week the NHS announces it will stop using fax machines to modernise and improve data security and encourage more investment in technology. NHS Supply Chain, which manages the sourcing, delivery and supply of healthcare products and food for NHS trusts and healthcare organisations, says it will no longer supply fax machines to the NHS, Trusts were given notice of the withdrawal of fax machines in early December, and the machines and consumables were delisted on 28 January by NHS Supply Chain.
