Independent spend management company, Jaggaer, and Promo PA Foundation, have released the results of a survey of public procurement across Italy. Based on 250 interviews with Italian public procurement organisations, it was designed to measure how digital purchasing has changed public procurement processes. 15 of the 28 EU countries are utilising complete eProcurement digital solutions, with the remaining well on their way to digital transformation. It also found that more than 80 out of 100 organisations interviewed use technology in the tendering phase alone. On average, one out of five bodies use technology to collect needs and to set up the planning process, while 19% of the sample use technology for the selection of suppliers and the management of supplier’s registers and lists. Read about the other findings, like compliance, in the press release here.
