Peter is Managing Editor of Spend Matters Europe, part of the world’s leading family of procurement websites, and Director of Public Spend Forum Europe. He has an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University, and worked for the Mars Group, where he first held procurement management positions, then was Procurement Director for Dun & Bradstreet Europe, the UK Government’s Department of Social Security (the largest non-military department / agency in the UK) , and the NatWest Group. He is a Fellow and was 2003 President of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, and also lectures on the University of Birmingham Procurement MBA course. He served as a non-executive director for two large government agencies and now fulfills that role for a successful private sector firm. His first co-authored book, “Buying Professional Services”, was published by the Economist Books in June 2010.
