To modernise its defence vehicles and improve the National Armed Forces’ mobility, Latvian ministry of defence has approached 12 countries to ascertain their suitability for a planned 10-year contract to supply of armoured vehicles to the Latvian military as part of a major procurement. A previous procurement of 200 million with a Finnish company was banned by the Procurement Monitoring Bureau (IUB) when two other losing bidders appealed the result of the tender.
