The City of Belgrade is deploying a public bicycle system to counter the growing transport issues of congestion and pollution and is inviting bids. The selected partner will hold a stake of up to 75% in Belgrade’s bike-share system, while the city will own the rest. The public bicycle system will have 150 docks with a total of 900 bikes. Tender documentation is available on the web portal of the Public Procurement Office, the Public Procurement Portal of the City of Belgrade, and the web page of the Contracting Authority – More here. Remaining cities with no public system like this could well follow suite opening up more public-private partnerships.
