Alongside the Scottish Government’s Supplier Development Programme (SDP), Moray Council’s procurement team has been holding training workshops to help local businesses secure more public sector contracts. A diverse set of businesses have attended, who said in a post-event survey that their business has improved its capability of bidding for more government contracts. A spokeswoman for SDP said the council’s partnership with the programme has enabled meaningful connections between buyers and suppliers throughout Scotland – something we believe at PSF is well worth promoting. The wider public sector in Scotland spends £11 billion per year nationally, a slice of which is worth competing for – so look out for further workshops here on the Supplier Development Programme website, and read the full story on The Northern Scot here.

And don’t forget Public Spend Forum offers an array of free-to-access webinars and workshops for public sector buyers – read about those here.
