There are opportunities for vendors and defense agencies to collaborate and accelerate federal software acquisition procedures and quickly boost cybersecurity. However, it’s not just about procuring the software and hardware. Success also relies on agencies moving away from low cost, technically acceptable acquisition processes to total cost of ownership or service consumption models that favor long-term value over upfront savings.
