The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued an updated continuous diagnostic and mitigation (CDM) supply chain risk management plan to help agencies be more confident in the cybersecurity products and services they are buying. Concerns about the federal IT supply chain increased over the last few months with questions about cybersecurity software from Kaspersky Lab. “Essentially what the requirements are for a vendor submitting to be added to the CDM approved products list (APL) is they have to complete a questionnaire around their products being submitted,” CDM program manager Kevin Cox said.
