The “Federal Fumbles” report from Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., identifies what the senator calls wasteful or poorly prioritized spending. “Our $20 trillion national debt will continue to increase until we implement spending cuts, government reforms and create a healthy economy,” Lankford said. Several examples Lankford identified involved the federal workforce where he questioned several departments for questionable decisions. Many other “fumbles” came from grants being used to research what the senator conceded “may be some value,” but in many cases, simply not a national priority.
