In interviews he’s conducted with officials at large public procurement agencies, Gordon has found that procurement teams tend to focus their research on price and cost-savings and not enough analysis of other factors that should be considered. “Procurement agents need to approach this very carefully, because there’s a lot more that needs to be considered before relying on a cooperative contract in the acquisition process,” Gordon says.
