Recent attempts via memos by the Office of Federal Procurement policy have fallen flat, as improvements to industry/federal government communications never materialized. A proposed rule in the Federal Acquisition Regulation also did not yield improvements.
Homeland Security Department is about to conduct its fourth Reverse Industry Day on June 28 in Washington, D.C. as part of its Acquisition Innovation in Motion (AIiM) initiative, and other agencies have discussed following these methods as well.
Although this is a great sign, the question remains:
How much (and what) information should agencies make ‘readily’ available to Industry?
