Open Thread: Buying Cybersecurity

We’ve got another webinar in our Learn the Market series scheduled for December 7th. This time our focus is on preparing to buy cybersecurity. And as always, we’ve got a great panel of experts lined up to share their experiences and answer your questions.

If you’re a public sector buyer or program owner and cybersecurity is in your portfolio, you will not want to miss this session.

Our panel has been sourced from experts in the vendor community. We’ll introduce them in a future post, but what’s exciting for me is the opportunity they’ll provide for the buyers and program owners in our audience. They’ll share their experiences selling and delivering cyber solutions to public sector clients, so everyone in attendance will get an advanced look at what happens after the contract is awarded.

I’ve had several conversations with our panelists already as we’re preparing our agenda and I can tell you that some of the lessons they’ll share look crystal clear in hindsight, but that’s exactly the point: hindsight is always 20/20. In this webinar, we’ll have the opportunity to peak around corners to learn from the mistakes of others. The point? So we don’t make them ourselves.

Read my latest blog post for a sneak peak at the questions we’ll tackle on Thursday, December 7th at 2pm eastern. And after you read that, please consider posting your own questions, curiosities and concerns to this discussion thread so we can better tailor our agenda to your needs. Also, you never know when another community member just might have the answer or clarification that you seek.

Register for the webinar today, and we look forward to helping your procurement journey get started on the right foot!

  1. For anyone tracking this thread, wanted to let you know that we are postponing this webinar and will reschedule for sometime in January or February. But we are still interested in feedback as that will help us build our agenda, so if you have thoughts on some of these questions please share them with the community!
