A joint initiative between Scotland’s Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils is supporting local businesses in developing their capability to bid successfully for public procurement contracts. The Positive Procurement Programme (PPP) takes attendees through what a good tender looks like. It’s an interactive practical workshop exploring the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of tendering with practical tips for success. This forms part of the Supplier Development Programme (SDP) which supports businesses with training and information to improve their competitiveness. SDP is a partnership of Local Authorities, Scottish Government and other public bodies which work together to bring business support in all aspects of tendering. “By assisting businesses to become tender ready for public procurement we improve all-round efficiency, sustainability and market potential,” it says. This workshop is being held locally in Aberdeen on May 24th and you can book here. For more information about events see the website here.
