Given the pace of technological and social change, we are in the midst of a transformation in the way we interact with computing machines. Augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies are enabling engagement with data in three dimensions and changing the way that learning and training are done. Government agencies, in many ways, are leading the way as this emerging tech is providing ways to improve efficiency and accuracy.

There are many ways in which AR/VR can assist the government and help it function more efficiently, and this means there are many ways for contractors to offer their services. However, it is not your traditional government contractors that are creating to the platforms and innovative experiences to drive adoption of this technology. The government marketplace needs to reach beyond their usual contractors and understand how to procure quality in this emerging space.
