Digital Marketplace Model for Other Countries to Receive Funding Go Ahead

G-Cloud, now the Digital Marketplace, the hub for buying IT has been one of the UK government’s great success stories. It is now looking at overseas expansion and replicating the model to make the procurement of IT services and skills more efficient and cost-effective for public sector in other countries, in some cases making the path to cloud services procurement easier. The UK already works closely with the Australian government to help assist with the roll-out of its own Digital Marketplace, and with procurement heads in Canada, and New Zealand. The minister for resilience and efficiency “We’ve already secured funding from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Anti-Corruption and Prosperity Fund to develop plans to scale the Digital Marketplace to more countries around the world.” See ComputerWeekly.com for more details.
