Market Snapshot: Understanding the Ecosystem of Research Institutions for Spacecraft On-Orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (OSAM)

To help a federal government agency better understand the R&D ecosystem for On-Orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (OSAM) of space assets, we employed PSF’s AI-MI to match research institutions, determine what OSAM capability areas they are researching, and at what TRL Levels they were conducting R&D.  From our analysis, it is evident that the relocation and inspection of legacy assets already in space is a major area of research interest.
