Client Need

The U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) tackles the challenge of converting containers to break bulk assets while afloat to independently transport refrigerated goods. The current surface vessels lack space for standard refrigerated shipping containers, leading to unpacking and sorting challenges in the Pacific Theater. The federal program office wanted us to primarily focus on identifying and validating companies that provide a solution to move refrigerated goods long distances independently to support a distributed logistics strategy.

Results
In under a week, we identified and validated 112 companies that provide reefer (refrigerated) containers and/or integrated logistics solutions for end-to- end maritime refrigerated cargo
